Arrested Development is the best sitcom on TV... and the season 2 boxed set only offers further proof. [14 Oct 2005, p.133]

The laughs-per-minute quotient here is insanely high, making it great value as a home library purchase.

Showcases the comedy's oddball twists and frenetic pacing, and overlooked moments of hilarity come to light with each repeated viewing. [28 Nov 2005, p.55]

Each of the episodes was in and of itself was a perfect gem of comedy, strung together by sharp writing and fantastic performances.

There's a lot to like in its savage satire of corporate-think, greed and sanctified notions of the American family - particularly in the inspired and original performances of Jason Bateman and Jeffrey Tambor.

There are running gags that can't be appreciated by watching an episode of the show, but fans that watch the entire season are rewarded with brilliant writing, and excellent acting. [Individual grades: Video 9, Audio 8, Extras 3]

It's more layered, more densely packed with bits of comedy than just about any other show on TV.

Like Seinfeld before it, Arrested Development impressively combines cultural touchstones with an innately clever humor that avoids being too witty for its own good.

Geoff G. gave it a10:
The funniest show that has ever graced TV. Arrested Development puts all of the other TV Sitcom babies in the corner. It is near impossible to describe the hilarity of this show. It's as if every move made, word spoken, and item placed is tailored for maximum comedic value! This is the closest you will ever come to being invited into a 3 year stay at a mansion full of the most colorful characters on earth, witnessing every single hilarious interaction between them.

Pretty much the greatest comedy of all time. Probably one of the greatest tv shows of all time period. The writing is top notch of course, but what really sets it apart is the acting. Every single character, even the guest stars, leaves you with some hilarious memories.

Tyler D. gave it a10:
It's the closest thing to flawless that I've ever seen, and it gets better with each watch..."uno...go fish...i need a drink."

anna c. gave it a10:
It was a shame that this show did not have enough viewers to carry on after more than 3 seasons. This show is so creatively funny and I think one of the best sitcoms to ever be on television. I have never laughed at a show like I did when I watched Arrested Development. I DEFINETELY give this show a 10 out of 10!

Rikky C. gave it a10:

Alex P gave it a10:
It's a really sad time for viewers everywhere when shows of this caliber(I can't think of another) are outlived by all the other mindless, unfunny, "comedy" shows out there. Oh well thank you for three fantastic seasons.
