While annoying, the lock-ups don't really do much to dampen how outlandishly fun the game is. If you like the Hulk and you enjoying destroying things, you'll enjoy your time with The Incredible Hulk, even if you have to reset the system from time to time.

IGN
The Incredible Hulk is pretty much a straight sequel to Ultimate Destruction. Trouble is, Edge of Reality took out far more than it added. Though Hulk is a serviceable game that can be enjoyed over a weekend, it feels outdated.

WonderwallWeb
Graphically you won’t really find anything groundbreaking, the city feels very empty with only a few people and the odd vehicle here and there, the buildings also look very plain and a bit flat looking, especially close up.

Gamer's Hell
Poorly realized on the Wii with boring environments, audio, visual and gameplay aspects, there's really not much past a rental here.

GameZone
If you love The Hulk franchise, as well as destroying environments in Hulk-like fashion, then The Incredible Hulk is worth checking out. The short replay value should cause any gamer to question purchasing this game though.

Sorry, Sega, but your luck with movie licenses just isn't getting any better. [Sept 2008, p.101]

Worth Playing
Incredible Hulk is an embarrassment, one of the worst movie-to-game translations to come out in some time — and that's really saying something.

44
Cheat Code Central
With a decent amount of work and attention to details, the sequel could be worth playing. Unfortunately, this one is just not ready yet, and that is written in the frequent bugs.

NGamer UK
There's a certain amount of fun to be had smashing everything to pieces, but no longevity. [Oct 2008, p.76]

n-Revolution Magazine UK
Enjoyable for a while, but there are so many better games out there. [Issue#26, p.78]

"The Incredible Hulk: The Official Videogame" is a lacklustre, technically poor experience that you really can afford to miss.

40
Zentendo
The start of this promising franchise was so good that this game pales in comparison. It’s not the worst movie to game tie-in in recent years -- The Golden Compass has to take that spot -- but it’s certainly not far off.

If every mission is going to take place around the same five blocks, try giving the different areas a bit of character instead of exploding walls. Make bosses that are fun to beat up and not just another thing you throw cars at until they stop moving. Just getting rid of the multitude of minor glitches could have easily raised the score.

GameSpy
The Incredible Hulk isn't the worst movie tie-in game ever made, but the initial charm of mass destruction dissipates rather quickly. This leaves it a rather buggy and joyless experience that, like a gumball, loses its flavor all too fast.

40
GameDaily
It is far less functional than its other console counterparts. The camera angles leave you wide open to damage while you manually rotate it. The gameplay is even more tedious, with minimal yet frustrating usage of the Wii's unique control set-up.

35
GameSpot
The embarrassing graphics and painful controls in The Incredible Hulk make citywide destruction feel boring.

35
Nintendo Power
With a big-budget movie comes a subpar video game adaptation--that seems to be the rule. So it should be no surprise that The Incredible Hulk on Wii is...not so great. [Aug 2008, p.90]

"Ultimate Destruction" was on the PS2 as well, but it still had a beautifully rendered, detailed city that was fully visible from any rooftop -- and a blast to wreak havoc on. Instead of building on that better game, though, Incredible Hulk is a weak attempt at mimicking it.

Cubed3
Quite obviously rushed through development in order to come onto the market at the same time as the film, this is sure to be another movie-to-game bargain bin dweller in a few weeks.
